A Side of Pre-walkers, Please.
A manager of a Missouri Burger King finds himself entangled in the long-running debate on whether babies need to wear shoes.Jennifer Frederich and her 6-month-old baby Kaylin, were asked to leave the burger joint because the manager sited the baby’s bare feet as a public health risk.In an interview with CNN, Frederich says the manager told her it was against the health code and she would have to take her food to-go. “I just looked at him and said, ‘That’s my daughter. She doesn’t own shoes. She’s only 6 months old,’” Frederich said.“She doesn’t walk, so she’s not touching the ground. There is no reason for her to have shoes on,” she continued. The mother served up a pair of socks as a compromise, but the manager said that wasn’t enough.A Burger King spokesperson says the chain took the company policy “too far” and has offered the Fredrich family a free meal. . .
